Duke, West earn gold at Lindsay Relays

Bearcats Timmy Duke and Parker West made strong showings at Lindsay Knights Relays Thursday, March 1, Each posting a first place finish and boosting the Henrietta varsity boys team to third place.

Duke took first place in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 41.67 seconds, while West earned gold in shot put with a throw of 43 feet, 6 inches.

West also competed in discus, finishing fourth with 227-1 ½.

Teammate Kolten Booher placed second in the long jump with a distance of 21-1 ½, and third in triple jump with 40-1. He was followed in triple jump by Duke with 39-4 ½.

Duke also placed third in the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.23, and fifth in high jump with a leap of 6-0.

Chase Hawkins took third place in the 800 with a time of 2:08.20, while C.D. Crumpton placed fifth in the 100 with 11.57.

Joyana Zamzow represented Henrietta’s Lady Cats. Zamzow finished second in the triple jump with a distance of 33-6, and fourth in the 400 with a time of 65.49.

Junior Varsity

Bearcat Jameson Dowell took third place in the JV triple jump with 34-6, and fourth in the 200 with a time of 25.12.

Kaleb Gwinn and Dalton Davidson placed fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 400 with times of 59.39 and 59.46.

Lady Cat Sarah Mayes placed third in discus with a throw of 73-0. Mackenzie White placed fourth in shot put with 25-10.

This week, Henrietta competes at Nocona, Thursday, March 8.
