Doris Fay Hooper, 84, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, in Norman, Okla.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 3 at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel with Phil Scott officiating. Burial will be in Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika, Okla.

Mrs. Hooper was born June 21, 1927 in Waurika, Okla., to Milo and Faye (Cleveland) Scott. She was a graduate of Waurika High School. She married Melvin Hooper on Feb. 17, 1946 in Wichita Falls. She was a homemaker and attended the Hastings Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Hooper, on Nov. 15, 2001.

Survivors include her children, Dorita Brown of Oklahoma City, Okla., Terry Schrader of Tuttle, Okla., and Kim Hooper of Byers; siblings, John Scott of Virginia and May Sue Phelps of Midwest City, Okla.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Waurika Public Schools Foundation.
