Two Georgia men received only minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 148 South, near the Hwy. 287 overpass Thursday. A Henrietta man was not injured.

The accident was reported at about 4:50 p.m.

According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Jordan Wayne Reeder, 22, and Steven William VanMetter, 19, both of Deluth, Ga., were in the southbound lane of Hwy. 148 in a 2008 Hyundai Elantra.

Ken Marshall, 59, of Henrietta, was northbound in Hwy. 148 in a 1999 Dodge pickup when Reeder turned toward the southbound Hwy. 287 southbound onramp, crossing in front of Marshall.

Marshall’s pickup struck the Elantra in the rear passenger’s side door, causing the side-impact airbags to deploy.

Reeder and VanMetter were treated on scene for minor cuts and bruises.
