Band students earn trip to state

Henrietta High School Students earning a trip to the state solo and ensemble contest in May are (in no order) Danielle Holmes, James, Joyana Zamzow, Riley Mathews, Justin Caldwell, Katelyn Suneson, Mikayla Taylor, Kaitlyn Cecil, Ivy Noack, Brittany Taylor, Jonathan Gardner, Patrick Riordan, Riley Mathews, Krystal Delucio, Andrew Greer, Jacob Jones, Bryce Schroeder, Ryan Schroeder, Chris Davis, Keeley Carney, Nathan Clark, Levi Hedrick, Trevor Roop, Daniel Sheldon, Grady West, Bree Wilson and Katrina Woeller.

Students from Henrietta High School competed in the regional solo and ensemble band contest Saturday, Feb. 18.

Earning “1” ratings were Danielle Holmes with a flute solo and James Duke with a tuba solo.
Advancing to the state UIL Solo and Ensemble contest are:

  • Joyana Zamzow – oboe solo
  • Riley Mathews – Tenor sax solo
  • Justin Caldwell – Marimba solo
  • Katelyn Suneson, Mikayla Taylor and Joyana Zamzow- flute, clarinet, oboe trio
  • Kaitlyn Cecil, Ivy Noack and Brittany Taylor- clarinet trio
  • Jonathan Gardner, Patrick Riordan and Riley Mathews – saxophone trio
  • Krystal Delucio, James Duke, Andrew Greer, Jacob Jones, Bryce Schroeder and Ryan Schroeder – Brass Ensemble
  • Justin Caldwell, Chris Davis, Keeley Carney, Patrick Riordan, Nathan Clark, Jonathan Gardner, Andrew Greer, Ryan Schroeder, Levi Hedrick, Trevor Roop, Daniel Sheldon, Grady West, Bree Wilson and Katrina Woeller –Percussion Ensemble

The state contest will be held in Austin, May 26-28.
