Additional arrests made in Petrolia murder investigation


Justin Wayne Green, formerly of Petrolia, of has been charged with murder in the death of a man at a home on FM 2332, south of Petrolia, five years ago.

He was one of three arrests made Friday. Bond was set at $1 million.

Also taken into custody were Terri Janiece Green and Stephanie Heaston Corral.

Terri Janiece Green and Corral are charged with tampering with evidence, a second degree felony, with bonds set at $250,000 each.

Justin Green, 30, and Terri Green, 49, were arrested in Phoenix, Ariz., by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. Terri Green is the mother of Justin Green and Brittany Green, arrested Feb. 10. Brittany Green was also charged with tampering with evidence.

All three had lived in Phoenix until recently, when Brittany Green returned to North Texas, living in Wichita Falls. Justin Green and Terri Green remained in Phoenix. All are former residents of Petrolia.

Justin Green and Terri Green are both awaiting extradition to Clay County.

Corral, 25, of Iowa Park, was arrested by the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office, and is awaiting transport to Clay County.

The investigation began “several” weeks ago when the Clay County Sheriff’s office received a tip about a possible homicide. The investigation led to the execution of a search warrant on Feb. 7. The following day, Forensics experts uncovered the remains of a young man from a shallow grave near the house.

The identity of the body has not been released.
