Henrietta Eagle Scouts Trent Yurcho and Thad Brock joined Scouts from all over the state in Austin Saturday, Feb. 4, for the annual Report to the State of Texas.

Yurcho and Brock were nominated as delegates for the Northwest Texas Council to give the report to the state. Each year, six are chosen from each council. There are 19 councils in Texas.

Also attending were Luke Brock and Scout Master Joe Bill Brock.

Scout Delegates from each council in Texas are seated in the House of Representatives and report to a member of the state government about Scouting accomplishments in their council from the past year.

The Report to the State celebrates the anniversary of the Scouting movement. During the event, Boy Scouts from across the state parade up Congress Ave. in Austin to the state capitol building.

Earlier this year, Troop 91 received the 2011 Fowler Award, given to the Northwest Texas Council troop with the largest number of Eagle Scouts.

Yurcho and Joe Dell Williams where elected as officers for the Northwest Texas Council House of Eagles. Yurcho will serve as president in 2012, and Williams will be secretary.
