Henrietta’s varsity Bearcats claimed an overwhelming 74-58 win over City View Friday, Jan. 27, improving to 4-4 in District 9-2A basketball and 15-9 for the season.
Four Bearcats scored double-digit figures in the game.
Henrietta outscored City View in three of four quarters, posting a 17-11 lead in the first, and continuing with 22 points in each of the second and third quarters. The Mustangs managed 15 in the second, and 19 in the third. Both teams scored 13 in the fourth quarter.
Nick Powell led the squad with 23 points, followed by Cole Burns with 22. Dalton Davidson scored 14 points and Ben Fletcher added 11. Myles Marchman scored four points. The team totaled seven three-pointers.
Davidson finished with five steals, while Powell, Fletcher and Philip Davis donated four each. Fletcher also had three steals, followed by Powell and Davidson with two each.
Burns led the defense with 18 rebounds, followed by Powell with 12, and Fletcher with 11.
Henrietta traveled to Krum on Tuesday.
