Residents celebrate birthdays

By Ashley Crownover

Henrietta Care Center had its monthly birthday party Friday the 27th at 3 p.m. We celebrated the birthdays of Ruthie Jones, Sam Bachman and Leatrice Bouldin. Linda Rhoades and Phyllis Polvado bake and serve homemade desserts each month at our birthday party. We really appreciate their continued support and devotion. The desserts are always a special treat. Henrietta Floral also helps us celebrate by making corsages and donating them to honor those who are celebrating a birthday. Thanks to everyone involved for helping make this monthly event possible.

Thank you to all the family and friends that stopped by during the past week to visit Leatrice for her birthday. She is so thankful for each of you, and we are very grateful as well.

Sam Bachman also had a visitor stop by for his birthday. We would like to give a special thanks to Ken for coming by and reminiscing with Sam.

We have frequent daily visitors that come out and socialize with the residents. We always appreciate the people that make it a weekly routine to stop by HCC; your visits mean so much to everyone. Visitors are always welcome and encouraged to stop by to brighten our day and add spice to lives.

Thank you to Taylor, Preston, Chance, and Skylar for coming by on Thursdays to play dominoes with Willie and Beryl. They really do have a great time. Frances also appreciates the outdoor walks that you go on with her. She says all of you are very well-behaved, and she enjoys your company.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Leona Boger. Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of her life. She will be missed by all.

We also ask that you please pray for Charleen Taylor and Imogene Hickman while they are in the hospital. We hope they will get well very soon and return home to us. We miss and love you both.

Thank you to Tiffany Oliver from Home Instead. She calls out bingo numbers once a month at HCC. We really appreciate her cheerfulness as well as her willingness to volunteer.
