High winds expected to calm in evening hours


A wind advisory in effect beginning at 11 a.m. Sunday continues through 7 p.m. A red flag warning has been issued.

High westerly winds developed late morning and will continue from the northwest as a cold front arrives. Wind speeds were expected at 30-35 miles per hour with gusts between 45 and 50 mph.

Care is urged while driving, or while working or playing outside.
