Robert ‘Judy’ Reed of Henrietta


Robert “Judy” Reed, Jr., of Henrietta, passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, in Henrietta.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at Hope Cemetery in Henrietta with Rev. Howard Walker, pastor of the First Christian Church of Henrietta, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Reed was born on Jan. 1, 1932, in Henrietta to Robert Lee and Ora Cathryn ( Harris) Reed, Sr., He married Janelle Green on March 21, 1954 in Petrolia. He was a Korean War Veteran, ranch hand, bull rider and pro rodeo producer. His hands served him well as a bricklayer. Mr. Reed also raised and bred Quarter Horses.

He is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Mary Reed, three brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include wife Janelle Reed of Henrietta; three daughters, Kim Anglin and Kevin Jolley of Cold Springs, Stacey Anderson of Lumberton, and Sherry Roe and Charles of Bertram; a sister, Rebecca Thomson of Waco; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
