Bearcats compete in tourney

The Bearcat seventh and eighth graders went through the City View Tournament with two victories each. In the Seventh grade games, the Bearcats beart Electra 28-11 and Holliday 22-13. The Eighth Graders bombed Electra 31-16 and Holliday 35-9. Henrietta Seventh Graders are now 6-1 on the season while the Eighth Grade Bearcats are 4-3.

Seventh Grade vs. Electra

Defense played a major role in the second half as the Bearcats allowed only one point in the last 12 minutes of the game. Henrietta led 13-10 at half and never looked back. Ethan Scholl led the scoring with a season-high seven points followed by Mason Hanson with six. Kandon Bennett and Adam Moore had five points each with Moore earning a season high. Ben McCreary and Corbin Douthitt each had two points while Chris Offield had one point.

Seventh Grade vs. Hollilday

After defeating Holliday by 22 points on Thursday night, the Eagles played the Bearcats a little closer, but the results remained the same. Ben McCreary led the scoring with six points followed by Kandon Bennett and Mason Hanson with four points. Corbin Douthitt had three points while Ethan Scholl and Chris Offield had two points. Sterling Headrick hit one free throw for the Bearcats.

Eighth Grade vs. Electra

Nick Offield and Logan Carter scored in double digits for the Bearcats. Offield led all scorers with 15 points and Carter had 12. Cody Fletcher and Conner Duncan each had two points.

Eighth Grade vs. Holliday

The Bearcats dominated Holliday giving up just two points in the second half which came in the last 2:38 of the game. Nick Offield and Cody Fletcher shared the scoring honors with 11 points each. Ethan Williams and Colum Reese had four points for the Bearcats while Logan Carter scored three and Skyler Velasquez added two points.
