Neil Thomas Touvell of Petrolia


Neil Thomas “Tom” Touvell, 57, of Petrolia, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, In Amarillo.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 16, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wichita Falls with Deacon Roland Benoit officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.

Mr. Touvell was born Sept. 8, 1954, in Lancaster, Ohio, to Julia Jane (Gieger) and Edward Joseph Touvell, Jr. He married Catherine Elizabeth Faulkner Sept. 14, 1978, in Lubbock. He worked as a welder foreman for the BNSF railroad for many years, and was an avid train enthusiast.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Touvell of Petrolia; daughter, Katie Ann Wight, of Dallas; brother, Joe Touvell, of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Judy Touvell of Phoenix, Ariz., Marcia McNeil and husband, Patrick, of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Maryann Rutter and husband, Rick, of Lancaster, Ohio.

A Christian wake will be held from 7-8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15, at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home.
