More than 200 readers of the Clay County Pioneer Sentinel submitted votes in the Clay County Outdoors photography contests.
Readers submitted photos representing Clay County through the month of December. Voting took place Jan. 1-7. Winners will be featured in the Clay County Outdoors magazine, a Henrietta and Clay County Chamber of Commerce publication set for release in February.
Twenty-two photographers entered 50 photos in the adult category. Cheryl Jackson of Henrietta took first place among the adults with a photo entitled “Run Like the Wind”. The photo is of two deer running through a pasture.
Three photos were entered in the youth category be Megan Morrow. Her photo “Snow Day” took first place with 70 percent of the vote.
