Carl E. Coleman of Dean


Carl Elbert Coleman, 66, of Dean, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel, with Martin Beck officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Coleman was born Oct. 2, 1945 in Bowie. He was a master builder in the construction field. He attended Midway School where he played basketball. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a Cryptographic Equipment Technician. His Hobbies included rattlesnake and lizard hunting, as well as fishing and oil painting.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Williams, and a stepson, Bruce Bardwell.

Survivors include two daughters, Marcella Blancett and husband Robert of Katy, and Angela Ohler and husband Terry of Burleson; one sister, Barbara Corless and husband Clifton of Torington, Wyo.; 6 grandchildren; and previous spouse, Mollie Bardwell.
