Charles Andrew “C.A.” Kilcrease, 89, of Nocona, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, at Nocona Cemetery in Nocona, with The Reverend Shelley McNew officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home of Nocona.

Mr. Kilcrease was born on June 28, 1922 to William Oren and Annie Adams Kilcrease in Spanish Fort. He graduated from Henrietta High School in 1939 and enlisted in the army in Aug. 1942. He served in the 761st Bombardment Squadron in Italy. He was honorably discharged in October 1945, with several medals and stars. He married Erma Ruth Lowrie on Sept. 7, 1946, in Decatur. They resided in Henrietta, Montague and Nocona during their 64 years of marriage. He was the tax assessor-collector for Nocona ISD until retirement in 1987.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Erma Ruth; a brother, John D.; and a son-in-law Dale Dow.

He is survived by a son, Kyle and wife Betty Kilcrease of El Paso; Daughters, Karen Dow of Bowie, and Kody and husband Bill Mullan of Bellevue, Wash.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Anita Cox of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Jane Adams of Archer City; and brother Odell Kilcrease of Henrietta.
