Man indicted for biting deputy


A Clay County grand jury handed down four indictments Monday, Dec. 19, including one for murder and another for assault of a public servant.

Jenna Cherish Dickerson has been indicted for first-degree murder, a first-degree felony, for a Nov. 13 offense in which her father, John Derek Hamlin, was shot to death.

Truitt Alexander Roop has been indicted for assault of a public servant, a third-degree felony, for a Nov. 21 incident during which he is accused of biting a Clay County Deputy on the finger.

Adam Donnie Medellin has been indicted for illegal dumping of 1,000 pounds or more, a state jail felony, for a Sept. 28 offense. Medellin is accused of dumping combustible waste material at a location on Hwy. 79, in Dean.

Gregory Kent Baumann has been indicted for criminal conspiracy, a third degree felony, for a Jan. 21 offense. Baumann is believed to have made an agreement with another person to transport pseudoephedrine for the manufacture of methamphetamine.
