Midway elementary students competed in UIL academic competition recently.
The fifth grade listening and number sense teams finished in first place, while the fifth grade social studies team, fifth grade spelling team, fourth grade music memory team and third grade music memory teams took second place. The third grade spelling team placed third.
Individual results are as follows:

Third grade music memory – First place, Tuff Banner; fourth (tie), Holton Leach; sixth, Regan Campbell.
Fourth grade music memory – Fourth, Allyson Laude; fifth, Hailey Talley.
Fifth grade number sense – Second, Kyler Wyatt; third, Rooster McClelland.
