Chien Dui Ha of Litchfield, Ariz., crawls from the cab of a 2002 Freightliner after gathering his belongings Monday afternoon. Ha was westbound on Hwy. 82, east of Henrietta, when he lost control of the tractor-trailer.
Traffic on Hwy. 82 east of Henrietta was slowed Monday afternoon when a tractor-trailer overturned, blocking the westbound and a portion of the eastbound lane.
Driver Chien Dui Ha, 48, of Litchfield Park, Ariz., was not injured in the accident. Ha was westbound between Doss Loop and Bryant Edwards Road when he lost control of the truck swerving into the eastbound lane and median, then into the westbound median.
Loaded with just less than 15,000 pounds of bottled water, the tractor-trailer came to a rest after sliding on its side through a fence bordering the westbound median. Fences were damaged on both sides of the road.
The accident was reported at about 4:20 p.m.
Ha was driving a 2002 Freightliner, pulling a 2006 Utility brand trailer.
Wet roads and speed played a roll in the accident. Trooper Zach Ward said the driver was cited for traveling at an unsafe speed.
