Mary Jane Gwin of Henrietta


Mary Jane Gwin, 88, of Henrietta, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, in Henrietta.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Henrietta, with Rev Howard Walker and Rev. Chris Dowd officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mrs. Gwin was born Dec. 25, 1923 to John J. and Christian (Willingham) Duewall in Clay County. She married Martin J. Gwin on Aug. 9, 1945 in Henrietta. She worked at Conair Airplane during World War II. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death her husband, Martin J. Gwin; six sisters, Rosie, Ruth, Annie, Jewell, Bea and Goldie; six brothers, Rudy, Kenneth, John, Marvin, Woodrow and Robert.

She is survived by three sons, Gregory Gwin, Norman Gwin and David Gwin all of Henrietta; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at Davis Funeral Home.
