C.W. Skelton of Henrietta


C.W. Skelton, 74, a resident of Henrietta for more than 60 years, passed away Sunday Dec. 11, 2011 in Wichita Falls.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Skelton was born Aug. 8, 1937 in Sayer, Okla., to William Clint and Hazel Mae (Chapman) Skelton. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the Henrietta VFW 5401 Bucky Boyd Post, the American Legion 169 and was a member of the Elks Lodge. He was a long distance truck driver for more than 30 years.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Wayne Skelton, Dale Ray Skelton and Lance Duane Skelton all of Henrietta; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
