Lights, community tree installed

Alex Genaidy, and employee of Illuminex, LLC, fluffs branches on the community Christmas tree, installed on the courthouse bandstand by Kinneth Sluder and trustees from the Clay County jail Friday. The 30-foot tree has been named in honor of The Bryant Edwards Foundation, which provided a matching grant to install lights on the courthouse. The installation will be unveiled with a Grand Lighting Ceremony during the Clay County Christmas event, sponsored by the Henrietta and Clay County Chamber of Commerce, Dec. 3. The event begins at 5 p.m. with Boy Scout sled races.
