Beta Club hosts Red Ribbon food drive

Members of the Byers ISD Beta Club collected non-persishable foods during their "We Can Do Without Drugs" campaign during Red Ribbon Week. Representing the Beta Culb are new member Heather Goolsby, Treasurer Holly Fleming, Vice President Cidnie Hulse, Secretary Sydney Daniels and President Heather Coleman.

Members of the Byers ISD Beta Club collected non-persishable foods during their “We Can Do Without Drugs” campaign during Red Ribbon Week, held in conjunction with Texas War on Drugs. The food was donated to the local food bank, administered by the Methodist Church.

Beta Club members coordinated a variety of activities during Red Ribbon Week, and hosted an all-school Halloween Dress-Up Day on Oct. 31. Prizes were given for the best costumes and best skits. Beta Club members performed a dance they choreographed themselves and involved the audience in the finale, “Our City.”
