Bessie V. Brumbelow of Byers

Bessie Virginia Brumbelow, 88, of Byers, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2011 in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 5, at the First Baptist Church of Byers, with Rev. Ken Johanan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Byers, under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta.

Mrs. Brumbelow was born Feb. 27, 1923 to Willie Hurd and Bessie Edith (Johnson) Miller. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Byers, and a member of the Byers Womens Club. Mrs. Brumbelow was retired from General Hospital in Wichita Falls where she worked as a dietician.

She is preceded in death by husband Harrison Benson Lowrey on March 20, 1975; husband John David Brumbelow in July of 2000; a son, William Harold Lowery on Sept. 10, 2009; a daughter, Billie Louise Lowery in February of 1937; and a sister, Louise Patrick on Feb. 26, 1937.

Survivors include five daughters, Pansy Chumley and husband Delbert of Byers, Joyce Burch of Plano, Helen Barger and husband Jerry of Henrietta, Sue Wilson of Byers, and Linda Loucks and husband Jimmy of Petrolia; two sons, B.J. Lowery of Henrietta and Richard Lowery of Byers; three brothers, Richard Thompson, C.M. Brown and wife Jean and Willie Brown, all of Conroe, Texas.

Memorial may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, Texas at P.O. Box 4804, Wichita Falls, Texas 76308, or the charity of your choice.

Visitation will be at Davis Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 4, from 7-8 p.m.
