Two Wichita Falls women were transported to an area hospital after a two-car accident Wednesday afternoon..

Two Wichita Falls women were taken by ambulance to an area hospital Wednesday night after a two-vehicle accident in Dean.

According to DPS Trooper Zach Ward, it appeared that Lindsey Couch, 24, was northbound on Hwy. 79 when she signaled to turn right onto Tammen Road. Instead of turning, Couch, driving a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser, attempted a U-turn across Hwy. 79. There, she was struck in the side by a 1991 Chevrolet half-ton pickup driven by Brad Bogart. Bogart, 49, of Dean also was northbound on Hwy. 79.

The accident happened at about 5 p.m.

Passengers in Couch’s vehicle were Gregory Whitt, 30, and Randi McLane, 19, both of Wichita Falls.

Bogart and Whitt were uninjured. Couch and McLane, who is pregnant, were transported with possible injuries.

Ward said Couch, Whitt and McLane were looking for a Wichita Falls business and, having realized they had gone too far, were trying to turn around.
