Lindsey dominates Pirates


Petrolia took a 40-6 pounding at the hands of Lindsey Friday night.

The Pirates struck first on an eight-yard run by Will Morath for a 6-0 lead to end the first quarter, but could not survive a punishing Knight defense the rest of the game.

Lindsey scored two in each of the remaining quarters.

The knights racked up 420 yards on 39 carries and completed six of 10 pass attempts for 151 yards. Petrolia managed 143 yards on 28 carries and connected on nine of 26 passes for 112 yards. Petrolia threw two interceptions.
