B.L. ‘Sonny’ Starnes of Wichita Falls


B.L. “Sonny” Starnes, 77, of Wichita Falls died Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Craig Lile of the Faith Baptist Church of Wichita Falls officiating. Burial will be in the Joy Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Henrietta.

Mr. Starnes was retired from TXU where he worked as an Electrical Engineer for 40 years.

Survivors include wife Jean Starnes of Wichita Falls; two daughters, Shelly Starnes of Mansfield, and Linda Raap of Archer City; two sons, Virgil Stewart of Aiken, S.C., and Howard Stewart of Iowa Park; one sister, Doris Sikes of Fort Worth; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
