Billy Dan Wynn, Sr. of Henrietta


Billy Dan Wynn, Sr., 77, of Henrietta, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011 in Henrietta.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18 at the First United Methodist Church in Henrietta with Rev. Chris Dowd, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Joy cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta.

Mr. Wynn was born July 8, 1934 in Joy to Claude L. and Luella (Majors) Wynn. He married Barbara Myers on June 28, 1967 in Wichita Falls, TX. He served in the U.S. Army and was a rancher. He had served two terms on the Clay County Pioneer Association’s Nine Man Board and was chairman in 1981. He was a member of the VFW Bucky Boyd Post 5401, Joy Methodist Church, Clay County Historical Society and the Clay County Pioneer Association.

Survivors include his wife Barbara of Henrietta; two sons, Billy Dan (B.D.) Wynn, Jr. and wife Jacky of Henrietta,and Jeff Wynn and wife Iryna of Lewisville; one daughter, Stacia Hise of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Mary Gale Gill of Spring, and Judy Wooldridge and husband Mike of Edmond, Okla.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clay County fire departments or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
