Students presented combat flag

Henrietta Junior High students Kamryn Weaver, president of the student council, Kaitlyn Williams and Principal Quana West hold an American flag given to the school by Charlie Morris, a contractor in Afghanistan. Morris is the father of Kaitlyn Williams.

Henrietta Junior High has been presented an American flag flown during Operation Enduring Freedom on a combat mission July 29, in Afghanistan. The mission included the 555th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron led by Lt. Col. Karl “Buzz” Ingeman at Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan.

The flag was presented to Henrietta Junior High on behalf of sixth grade student Kaitlyn Williams by her father Charlie Morris, who is currently working in Afghanistan as a contractor.

HJH wishes to express its thanks and gratitude to all that serve our nation. The flag will be placed in a display case at the school.
