Van Durbin

Van Durbin, 84, of Jolly, Texas, passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, in Wichita Falls.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, in Hope Cemetery in Henrietta with Rev. Danny Hodgkins, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Mr. Durbin was born on Feb. 19, 1927, in Finley, Okla., and resided in Jolly, most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army for two years, and worked for M&F Litteken for more than 40 years. He married Jimmie Elizabeth Turner on Oct. 4, 1947, and had three sons.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie; and two sons, Larry Durbin and Dale Durbin.

He is survived by his son, Alan Durbin and wife Vickie; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
