Rickey Dean Cryer, Sr., 58, of Thornberry, passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 in Wichita Falls.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Thornberry Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Lawson, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
A son of the late Frank and Ruby (Adams) Cryer, he was born on July 24, 1953 in Tipton, Okla. He worked as a welder for Tranter for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Ruth Purscel, Wanda Crownover, and Phyllis Dale Cryer; a granddaughter, Ella Cryer; and his horse of 21 years, M&M.
He is survived by four children, Amber Hausler and husband Coby of Henrietta, Carrol Hollis and husband David of Wichita Falls, Wade Cryer and wife Jennifer of Charlie, and Ricky Cryer, Jr. and wife Melanie of Holliday; a brother, Buddy Cryer and wife Nadine of Mt. Park, Okla.; three sisters, Eunice Colleen Hill of Guthrie, Okla., Jennie Powell of Alaska, and Bobbie Stevenson and husband Jimmy of Tipton, Okla. and eight grandchildren; and his wife of 30 years and mother of his children, Regina Cryer-Lee of Wichita Falls.
