Five plead guilty to charges


Five people plead guilty to various charges in the 97th District Court Sept. 14.

They are as follows:

Christopher Ray Veitenheimer – Burglary of a habitation, a second-degree felony, on April 1. As punishment, Veitenheimer received 10 years community supervision and a fine of $3,500.

Jerry Beaver – Theft, a third degree felony, on Jan. 5. Beaver received four years community supervision and will pay $8,053.89 in restitution.

Ivory Joe Henderson – Violation of community supervision, a state jail felony, on a May 17, 2010 guilty plea for possession of marijuana. Henderson received nine months in state jail.

James Shawn Chambers – Evading arrest, a state jail felony, on March 11. Chambers received three years community supervision and a fine of $2,500.

Lisa Diann Townlin – Possession of certain chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, a second-degree felony, on Nov. 29, 2010. Townlin received two years community supervision, a fine of $500 and will pay restitution in the amount of $140.

All also will pay applicable court costs and attorney’s fees.
